Bookings

A 50 percent deposit of the cost of the entire stay is required to confirm a booking. You will receive a written confirmation of your booking from Manor Collections. The balance is payable before or on arrival. Extras should be settled on departure. Last minute cancellations, no shows, or early departures are liable for the total cost of the entire stay.

 

  • The full deposit will be forfeited for cancellations made one to seven days before the actual arrival date.
  • Cancellations received between eight and 21 days before the date of arrival will result in 50 percent of the deposit forfeited.
  • For cancellations made 22 days or more prior to arrival, the deposit is fully refundable.
  • In order to avoid misunderstanding, we require written instructions, together with your banking details, to cancel your reservation.   Manor Collection Guest Houses will then refund the applicable amount within seven days.    A 15 percent administration fee will be charged, while an additional R185 will be levied on SWIFT accounts.

 

  • We are unable to accommodate children under 10 years of age. For children of 10 years and older, full tariffs applies, e.g. per person sharing or single room occupancy. Our swimming pool is unprotected, therefore we discourage children who are not able to swim.

 

  • Basic terms of payment - payment due on booking;  deposits 50 percent;  balance on arrival.
  • Discounts and specials and deposit requirements do not apply to peak periods or bookings that take up a portion of peak periods.
  • Rates may increase during peak seasons, long weekends and special events.  For bookings during peak periods, a 100 percent deposit is required.
  • All rates per person per night ,unless otherwise indicated
  • Special requirements might have a rate implication depending on the request
  • Room allocations may change depending on circumstances
  • All terms dependant on availability
  • No cheques accepted
  • Payments can be made by direct deposit (Fax Deposit slip) cash or credit card.

 

  • We will do everything in our power to ensure that your stay is memorable. In order to assist us, we request that all our guests adhere to the house rules as set out below.


  • Any person brought onto the property for any purpose without prior permission or knowledge of the owners/management will be charged a rate equal to the single rate applicable at the time.

  • Check in time is any time after 14h00 but before 22h00.   A late check in charge will be levied for those who have not made prior arrangements.

  • Breakfast is served from 07h00 to 09h00 at Manor 38.

  • Check out time is 10h00.  Please inform us if a late departure is required.    Unless this was arranged beforehand with management, late check out will incur an additional day’s charge.   Storage of baggage for the day, if required, can be done with pleasure.

  • Dinner is available on early request at Manor 38.   There is a basic charge per head.   Any specials will be discussed at the time as will the costs.   Please inform us no later than 11h00 on the same day if you require dinner, for which reservations are essential.   Pre-dinner drinks may be enjoyed in the bar/lounge.

  • An honesty bar is provided in the rooms and the lounge at Manor 38.   Please make use of the list provided, specifying items removed, to avoid any delay with your bill on your day of departure.

  • Please look after your keys and gate remote.   A charge of R 300 will be levied for lost keys/remote or if you take them home.   Keys may be left with us in the office, should you not wish to take them with you during your visit.

  • Laundry can be done by arrangement.   Place any laundry items in the laundry bag provided by 09h00 for same-day service (weather permitting) and inform the housekeeping.   An Iron and ironing board is available for your use - please ask at Reception.

 

  • You are welcome to read anything that you find in the house.    Please do not remove any of the books or magazines from the premises.

  • Call us immediately should you require medical assistance.

  • Please keep the volume down on any television, radio, audio system or musical instrument, so that it is not audible from outside the room when the door is closed.    The owners reserve the right to require these items to be turned off if they disturb other occupants of the house.

  • We are usually about the house or in the office.   Ask a staff member if you cannot locate us.

  • While we will make every attempt to ensure that you keep the same room for the duration of your stay, we reserve the right to require you to move to another guest room at short notice.   Such a move might be necessary if another guest has health or mobility problems that require them to be in a more accessible location.

  • Due to legal regulations, we regret that smoking is limited to the outside areas only.   Smoking in the bedroom or common indoor areas is not permitted.   A special large cleaning fee will be levied for anyone not adhering to this rule.   Please note that all the rooms are fitted with smoke detectors that will set off the alarm at the slightest trace of smoke.

  • Pool towels are available on request.

  • A wireless internet connection is available – please contact Reception for sign-on codes and details.

  • For your own security, valuables and firearms must be left at Reception for safe-keeping,    All items of a valuable nature are, however, brought onto the Manor Collection premises at the owner's risk.

  • Please make an entry in our visitors' book at Reception.   If you have enjoyed your stay with us, please tell your friends - if you did not, please tell us.
